🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 150 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), finely chopped
  • 100 ml heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, diced
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 pinch of sea salt

Directions

  1. 1

Place the finely chopped dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl.

  2. 2

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over low heat until it just begins to simmer — do not let it boil.

  3. 3

Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let it sit undisturbed for 2 minutes.

  4. 4

Add the butter and powdered sugar, then stir gently from the center outward until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.

  5. 5

Stir in the sea salt, let it cool for about 10 minutes, then spread over your cake.

💡 Chef's Tip

For the smoothest result, make sure all ingredients are at room temperature before you begin. If the frosting thickens too much while cooling, gently warm it over a double boiler and stir again.
