🛒 Ingredients

9 servings

9
  • 1 package lasagna sheets (about 250 g)
  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • 1 can tomato sauce (400 g)
  • 200 g cream cheese or ricotta
  • 200 g sliced ham
  • 250 g shredded mozzarella
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Directions

  1. 1

In a large pan, brown the ground beef over medium heat with the onion and garlic until fully cooked and golden. Crumble the bouillon cube over the meat and stir well to coat.

  2. 2

Pour in the tomato sauce and 400 ml water. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer over low heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens and deepens in flavor.

  3. 3

Remove from heat and stir in the cream cheese until fully melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

In a baking dish, start with a thin layer of sauce, then build layers in this order: lasagna sheets, sauce, ham, mozzarella. Repeat twice and finish with a generous layer of mozzarella on top.

  5. 5

Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for 50 minutes. Uncover for the last 10 minutes to brown and bubble the top.

  6. 6

Let the lasagna rest for 5 minutes before slicing — this helps the layers hold together cleanly.

💡 Chef's Tip

Make this lasagna the evening before and refrigerate overnight — the flavors meld beautifully and it slices much more cleanly. Leftovers freeze well for up to 2 months.
