🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1¾ cups whole milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • ¾ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3 tbsp sweetened cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup thick heavy cream
  • 6 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 3 egg whites (reserved from yolks)

Directions

  1. 1

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and egg yolks. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens into a smooth custard. Pour into a square freezer-safe dish.

  2. 2

Let cool for 10 minutes, then freeze for 2 hours until the first layer is fully set.

  3. 3

In a saucepan, heat the whipping cream with sugar and cocoa powder, stirring until you get a smooth chocolate sauce. Let cool slightly, then spread evenly over the frozen custard layer. Freeze for another 2 hours.

  4. 4

Beat egg whites to stiff peaks, gradually add powdered sugar while beating, then gently fold in the thick heavy cream with a spatula.

  5. 5

Spread the meringue cream over the chocolate layer, smooth the top, and freeze for at least 3 hours or overnight before serving.

💡 Chef's Tip

Remove from the freezer 5–8 minutes before cutting for clean, even slices. Top with chocolate shavings, a drizzle of caramel sauce, or fresh berries for an impressive presentation.
