🛒 Ingredients

10 servings

10
  • 10 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Directions

  1. 1

Peel the bananas and mash them thoroughly with a fork until you get a completely smooth, lump-free purée.

  2. 2

In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine the banana purée, sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract, stirring well to mix.

  3. 3

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for 20–25 minutes, until the mixture thickens considerably and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

  4. 4

Pour into a bowl or sterilized jars, allow to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving chilled.

💡 Chef's Tip

For an extra-velvety texture, use an immersion blender at the end of cooking. Keeps refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
