🛒 Ingredients

15 servings

15
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz / 395 g)
  • 2½ cups whole milk
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 14 oz (400 g) white chocolate, divided
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 2 packages ladyfinger cookies (about 10 oz / 300 g)
  • Extra milk for soaking the cookies

Directions

  1. 1

Combine the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Whisk until completely smooth and lump-free.

  2. 2

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a smooth custard, about 8–10 minutes.

  3. 3

Remove from heat and stir in 7 oz (200 g) of white chocolate, broken into pieces, until fully melted and incorporated.

  4. 4

Let cool to room temperature, then gently fold in the heavy cream for a lighter, airier texture. Set aside.

  5. 5

Quickly dip the ladyfingers in cold milk and arrange them in a single layer in a 9×13-inch (22×35 cm) rectangular dish.

  6. 6

Spread half the white chocolate cream evenly over the cookies, then arrange a second layer of dipped ladyfingers on top.

  7. 7

Top with the remaining cream, then grate the remaining 7 oz (200 g) of white chocolate over the entire surface.

  8. 8

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight for best results. Serve well chilled.

💡 Chef's Tip

Top with fresh raspberries or sliced strawberries just before serving — the tartness cuts through the sweetness beautifully. This dessert keeps well covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
