🛒 Ingredients

15 servings

15
  • 1 can (14 oz / 397 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.2 liters (5 cups) whole milk, divided
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 200 g (7 oz) white chocolate, coarsely grated
  • 2 packs (about 400 g) plain butter biscuits (e.g. Digestive or Marie biscuits)
  • 200 g (7 oz) heavy cream
  • 10 tablespoons full-fat powdered milk

Directions

  1. 1

Whisk the cornstarch and powdered milk into 800 ml of cold whole milk until fully dissolved. Stir in the condensed milk and mix well.

  2. 2

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens into a smooth, creamy custard. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.

  3. 3

Fold in the heavy cream and stir gently until fully incorporated. Set aside.

  4. 4

Grate the white chocolate on the coarse side of a grater or break it into small pieces. Set aside.

  5. 5

Pour the remaining 400 ml of milk into a shallow bowl. Quickly dip the biscuits and arrange them in a single layer on the bottom of a rectangular dish.

  6. 6

Spread half of the cream evenly over the biscuit layer and sprinkle with half of the grated white chocolate.

  7. 7

Add a second layer of soaked biscuits, top with the remaining cream, and finish with the rest of the white chocolate.

  8. 8

Cover with cling film and refrigerate for at least 4 hours — ideally overnight for the best texture and flavour.

💡 Chef's Tip

For an extra indulgent finish, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top just before serving. This dessert keeps well in the fridge for up to 3 days.
