In a saucepan, combine the condensed milk, 1½ cups of whole milk and the egg yolks. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the custard thickens.

Remove from heat, stir in the vanilla extract and set aside to cool slightly.

Beat egg whites with the sugar until stiff, glossy peaks form.

Gently fold the heavy cream into the meringue with a spatula. Set aside.
