🛒 Ingredients

5 servings

5
  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) chicken breast
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 375 ml (1½ cups) water

Directions

  1. 1

Rinse the chicken breast thoroughly under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

Pierce the meat all over with the tip of a knife to help seasonings penetrate deeply into the flesh.

  3. 3

Rub the chicken all over with crushed garlic, paprika, and crumbled bouillon cube, pressing well into the cuts.

  4. 4

Heat the oil over low heat in the pressure cooker with the lid off until warm.

  5. 5

Add the seasoned chicken, onion rings, and water. Secure the lid and bring to full pressure.

  6. 6

Cook for 30 minutes under pressure, then carefully release the steam according to your cooker's instructions.

  7. 7

Check tenderness — the chicken should be very soft and easy to shred with a fork.

  8. 8

If the pot looks dry, add a splash of water and a few extra onion rings, then cook for an additional 5 minutes.

💡 Chef's Tip

For deeper flavor, marinate the chicken with garlic and paprika for 1 hour in the fridge before cooking. Serve over white rice or with steamed vegetables for a complete, nutritious meal.
