🛒 Ingredients

4 servings

4
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube, crumbled
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 tbsp white wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 80 g grated cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
  • A drizzle of olive oil

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine the garlic, onion, parsley, oregano, vinegar, and crumbled bouillon cube to form the marinade.

  2. 2

Add the chicken breasts and massage the marinade in thoroughly with your hands. Let rest for 15–20 minutes.

  3. 3

Preheat the oven to 220 °C (425 °F). Grease a baking dish generously with butter.

  4. 4

Arrange the chicken in the dish and spoon all remaining marinade over the top.

  5. 5

Drizzle with olive oil and cover evenly with grated cheese.

  6. 6

Bake at 220 °C for 20 minutes, then reduce to 160 °C (325 °F) for a final 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is golden.

💡 Chef's Tip

For extra golden cheese, switch to broil mode for the last 2–3 minutes. Always check doneness by cutting into the thickest part — the juices should run clear.
