🛒 Ingredients

6 servings

6
  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced into cutlets
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced into rings
  • 3 tomatoes, sliced into rounds
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced into rings
  • 300 g mozzarella, sliced
  • 100 g provolone, sliced
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 400 g cream cheese
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 100 ml whole milk

Directions

  1. 1

Season the chicken cutlets with salt, pepper and minced garlic. Let marinate for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

Preheat the oven to 250 °C (480 °F). Drizzle olive oil in the bottom of a baking dish and arrange the chicken in a single layer.

  3. 3

Bake until the chicken is golden and cooked through.

  4. 4

Remove from the oven. Layer the onion rings over the chicken, then the bell pepper rings, and finish with the tomato slices.

  5. 5

Make the sauce: whisk the cream cheese with the milk and soy sauce until smooth and creamy.

  6. 6

Pour the cheese sauce generously over the vegetables.

  7. 7

Layer the provolone slices first, then cover everything with the mozzarella.

  8. 8

Return to the oven and bake until the sauce begins to bubble, then cook for another 15 to 20 minutes until golden and bubbling.

  9. 9

Serve hot with steamed white rice or a crisp green salad.

💡 Chef's Tip

Add a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce to the cheese mixture for extra depth. Swap provolone for sharp cheddar for a more intense, golden crust.
