🛒 Ingredients

8 servings

8
  • 2 cooked potatoes
  • 100 ml whole milk
  • 1 pinch of ground nutmeg
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • 250 g smoked bacon strips
  • 500 g chicken breast, diced
  • 1 tsp hot smoked paprika
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • A drizzle of olive oil
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, to taste

Directions

  1. 1

Blend the cooked potatoes with the milk until completely smooth. Season with nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

In a dry skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon strips until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, add a drizzle of olive oil and sauté the onion and garlic over low heat for 2 minutes until softened.

  4. 4

Add the diced chicken, paprika, and salt. Cook over high heat, stirring, until the chicken is evenly golden brown on all sides.

  5. 5

Pour in the potato cream, add the bay leaves, and top with the shredded mozzarella. Cover and cook over low heat for 3 minutes until the cheese melts completely.

  6. 6

Remove the bay leaves, top with the reserved crispy bacon and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.

💡 Chef's Tip

For an even silkier potato cream, use floury potato varieties. Swap the mozzarella for cheddar or gruyère for a richer, more golden crust.
