🛒 Ingredients

5 servings

5
  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) chicken tenderloins or thin chicken breast fillets
  • 200 g (7 oz) ham, diced small
  • 200 g (7 oz) mozzarella, diced small
  • 6–8 bacon strips, thinly sliced
  • 2 bags nacho cheese Doritos
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube, crumbled
  • 1 egg
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Toothpicks to secure the rolls

Directions

  1. 1

Season the chicken fillets with minced garlic, crumbled bouillon cube, salt and pepper. Let them rest for 15–20 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

Lay each fillet flat and place a few ham cubes, mozzarella cubes and a strip of bacon on top.

  3. 3

Roll each fillet tightly and secure with 2–3 toothpicks to keep the filling inside during frying.

  4. 4

Crush one bag of Doritos in a blender or sealed plastic bag until you get fine breadcrumbs.

  5. 5

Beat the egg in a bowl. Dip each roll in the beaten egg, then coat generously in the Doritos crumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.

  6. 6

Heat plenty of oil in a deep pan or fryer over medium heat. Fry the rolls until golden and crispy on all sides.

  7. 7

Drain on paper towels, carefully remove the toothpicks, and serve immediately with the remaining Doritos and dipping sauces of your choice.

💡 Chef's Tip

These rolls pair perfectly with ranch dip, garlic cream cheese, cheddar sauce or a classic pink sauce. Prepare and refrigerate uncooked rolls in advance for a quick fry just before serving.
