  • 17.6 oz ground meat
  • 1.5 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1.5 tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large tomato, chopped
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 12 sheets phyllo dough
  • 1.3 cups melted butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar

    Heat a skillet with a little oil. Sauté the minced garlic and ginger, then add the ground meat and all the seasonings. Cook until the meat is well done, then let it cool.

    In a large bowl, combine the egg, chopped tomato, chopped green onions, and cooled meat mixture.

    Place a spoonful of the meat mixture onto each sheet of phyllo dough. Fold and roll to form squares or triangles.

    Generously brush each pastry with melted butter.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and crispy.
