🛒 Ingredients

8 servings

8
  • 1 kg (about 2 lbs) sirloin roast
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 cup (250 ml) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (330 ml) lager beer
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Directions

  1. 1

Season the sirloin roast generously with salt and black pepper on all sides.

  2. 2

Heat the oil in the pressure cooker over medium-high heat. Sear the beef on all sides until deeply golden.

  3. 3

Add the minced garlic and sliced onions. Sauté for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.

  4. 4

Pour in the tomato sauce and beer. Stir to combine and coat the meat evenly.

  5. 5

Seal the pressure cooker and bring to full pressure. Cook for 30 minutes once pressure is reached.

  6. 6

Remove from heat and allow the pressure to release naturally before opening the lid.

  7. 7

Transfer the beef to a serving dish and spoon the cooking juices generously over the top.

  8. 8

Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot alongside mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.

💡 Chef's Tip

For a richer sauce, remove the meat after cooking and reduce the braising liquid over high heat for 5 minutes before serving. Leftovers reheat beautifully and taste even better the next day.
