8
  • 500 g ground or finely chopped beef
  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled in salted water
  • 1 cup whole milk (250 ml)
  • 5 mozzarella slices
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • Fresh parsley or chives, to taste
  • Salt, pepper and spices to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Directions

  1. 1

Season the beef with salt, pepper and your favourite spices.

  2. 2

Heat a drizzle of oil in a skillet over high heat and cook the beef until well browned.

  3. 3

Meanwhile, blend the boiled potatoes with the milk, 3 mozzarella slices and a pinch of salt until smooth and creamy.

  4. 4

Add the onion rings to the browned beef and sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.

  5. 5

Place the remaining 2 mozzarella slices over the beef, then pour the potato cream on top.

  6. 6

Stir gently, scatter fresh herbs over the top and let everything simmer together on low heat for 2 minutes before serving.

💡 Chef's Tip

For an extra-smooth cream, press the potatoes through a sieve before blending. A few minutes under the grill gives a delicious golden crust on top.
