🛒 Ingredients

6 servings

6
  • 300 g (10 oz) beef tenderloin, cut into cubes or strips
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ onion, finely diced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 400 g (14 oz) heavy cream
  • 200 ml hot beef broth
  • 6 tablespoons tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Directions

  1. 1

Season the beef with garlic, onion, salt, and pepper. Toss well and let rest for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.

  2. 2

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the beef quickly, keeping it slightly pink inside, about 2–3 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  3. 3

Pour the hot beef broth into the pan, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Bring to a boil and simmer until reduced by half.

  4. 4

Stir in the tomato sauce and cook for 5 minutes, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens slightly.

  5. 5

Add the mustard, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and soy sauce. Stir to combine and simmer for another 5 minutes over medium heat.

  6. 6

Gradually pour in the heavy cream, stirring gently to create a smooth, unified sauce. Reduce heat to low and cook for 5 minutes. Adjust seasoning and serve over white rice or egg noodles.

💡 Chef's Tip

Bring heavy cream to room temperature before adding it to the sauce to keep it silky. Avoid boiling after adding cream — it should only gently simmer.
