🛒 Ingredients

15 servings

15
  • 250 g (9 oz) raw ground beef or mixed beef-pork
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ½ small onion, finely chopped
  • Fresh parsley, salt and black pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground meat, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, onion and parsley. Season with salt and pepper and mix until the mixture is fully uniform.

  2. 2

Adjust the texture to your liking: add an extra tablespoon of breadcrumbs for firmer meatballs, or use slightly less for a softer, juicier bite.

  3. 3

With lightly oiled hands, roll the mixture into walnut-sized balls.

  4. 4

Heat a generous layer of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the meatballs, turning regularly, for 8–10 minutes until evenly browned on all sides.

  5. 5

Drain on paper towels and serve immediately.

💡 Chef's Tip

To check doneness, cut one meatball open — no pink should remain inside. For a lighter version, bake at 200 °C (390 °F) for about 20 minutes instead of frying.
