🛒 Ingredients

15 servings

15
  • 500 g (1 lb) ground beef or mixed pork and beef
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt, black pepper, and dried herbs to taste
  • Oil for frying

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground meat with the chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, mustard, salt, pepper, and dried herbs. Mix until evenly seasoned.

  2. 2

Add the egg and flour, then knead the mixture thoroughly by hand until the flour is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth.

  3. 3

Shape into walnut-sized balls by rolling between lightly oiled palms.

  4. 4

Heat a generous drizzle of oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the meatballs, turning regularly, for 10–12 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

💡 Chef's Tip

Cut one meatball open to check doneness — there should be no pink inside. You can also finish them for 5 minutes in a 180 °C (350 °F) oven after pan-frying to ensure even cooking with less oil.
