🛒 Ingredients

12 servings

12
  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) ground beef
  • 150 g onion soup mix
  • 1 egg
  • Fresh chopped parsley to taste
  • 1 tablespoon breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons flaxseed flour
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 150 g thinly sliced cheese (Cheddar, Swiss or Gruyère)

Directions

  1. 1

In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion soup mix, egg, parsley, breadcrumbs, flaxseed flour and black pepper. Knead firmly until a uniform mixture forms.

  2. 2

Using plastic wrap, press a portion of meat into a thin, wide patty. Layer cheese slices in the center, top with a second patty and press the edges firmly all around to seal. Cut into rounds with a 10 cm cutter. Repeat with remaining meat.

  3. 3

Generously grease a baking dish with olive oil. Arrange the stuffed burgers and bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for 20 minutes, flip carefully, then bake for a further 10 minutes until golden and cooked through.

💡 Chef's Tip

Freeze the assembled burgers for 15 minutes before baking to help them hold their shape and keep the cheese from leaking out during cooking.
