🛒 Ingredients

8 servings

8
  • 2.2 lbs (1 kg) pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • White pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 onions, sliced into rings
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • 1 cup peeled and seeded tomatoes
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tablespoon monosodium glutamate (MSG)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. 1

Season the pork chops with soy sauce, minced garlic, onion rings, white pepper, lemon juice, and salt. Toss to coat evenly.

  2. 2

Marinate for 30 minutes at room temperature, or refrigerate overnight for deeper flavor.

  3. 3

Add olive oil to the pressure cooker over medium heat. Add the marinated chops with all their juices, tomatoes, bay leaf, MSG, and water.

  4. 4

Seal the pressure cooker. Once pressure is reached, reduce heat and cook for 15 minutes.

  5. 5

Release pressure safely, discard the bay leaf, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.

💡 Chef's Tip

Serve over steamed white rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the rich braising liquid. Skip the MSG if preferred — a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce adds a similar savory depth.
