🛒 Ingredients

5 servings

5
  • 1 kg (2.2 lbs) semi-lean beef short ribs
  • 1 beef bouillon cube
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Place the beef ribs and crumbled bouillon cube directly into the pressure cooker — no water added.

  2. 2

Seal the lid and heat over high heat. Once the valve starts hissing, reduce to medium heat and cook for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

Remove from heat and let the pressure release naturally. Open the lid and stir well so the broth coats all the meat.

  4. 4

Seal the lid again, bring back to pressure and cook for another 20 minutes over medium heat.

  5. 5

Release pressure naturally, open and serve immediately. The meat should fall easily off the bone.

💡 Chef's Tip

Don't be alarmed by a slight burning smell at the start — this is completely normal and is what gives the ribs their barbecue-like depth. Always use semi-lean ribs: too fatty and the meat turns boiled; too lean and it may dry out.
