🛒 Ingredients

5 servings

5
  • 5 medium chicken fillets, tenderized with a mallet
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 pinch saffron
  • 1 pinch fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 generous pinch ground black pepper
  • ½ onion, sliced into rings
  • 3 tablespoons neutral cooking oil
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. 1

Rub the chicken fillets with salt and crushed garlic. Let them marinate for 15 minutes at room temperature so the flavours can infuse.

  2. 2

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat and stir in the saffron. Allow the oil to turn a warm golden colour before adding the chicken.

  3. 3

Place the fillets in the hot skillet and cook, turning them regularly to ensure even browning on both sides.

  4. 4

When the fillets are almost done, scatter the black pepper, parsley and onion rings evenly across the pan.

  5. 5

Keep turning the fillets until they are fully golden. Remove from heat as soon as the colour is right and serve immediately.

💡 Chef's Tip

Tenderizing the fillets before marinating helps the seasoning penetrate deeper and speeds up cooking time. Avoid crowding the pan — cook in batches if needed to achieve a proper golden crust.
