Directions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, olive oil, parsley, mint, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, breadcrumbs, spice blend and salt.
- 2
Mix everything thoroughly with your hands for 3–4 minutes until the mixture is uniform and holds together well.
- 3
Wet your hands, take about 70 g of the mixture and press it firmly around a wooden skewer, shaping it into a long oval cylinder.
- 4
Arrange the skewers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 1 hour so they hold their shape during cooking.
- 5
Preheat the oven to 350 °F (180 °C). Bake for 40 minutes, turning halfway through, until nicely browned and cooked through.
💡 Chef's Tip
Serve with warm pita bread, hummus and a fresh tomato-mint salad for a complete meal. These kafta skewers also work beautifully on the grill for a smokier, more authentic flavour.
