Preheat the oven to 180 °C / 350 °F. Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat and sauté the onion until soft and translucent.
- 2
Add the diced carrot and cook for another 1–2 minutes, stirring frequently.
- 3
Stir in 3–4 tablespoons of shredded pork, pour in the soy sauce and let the flavors meld for 2–3 minutes over low heat.
- 4
Before the soy sauce reduces completely, add the heavy cream, stir well and simmer for 3–4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- 5
Remove from heat and blend the sauce until smooth using a stand blender or immersion blender.
- 6
Arrange the remaining roast pork in a baking dish and pour the creamy sauce evenly over the top.
- 7
Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and bubbling.
💡 Chef's Tip
Add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard or a pinch of nutmeg to the cream for an extra depth of flavor. Serve alongside mashed potatoes or steamed rice to soak up the sauce.
