🛒 Ingredients

6 servings

6
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 smoked sausages, sliced into rounds
  • 2 large onions, cut into thick rings
  • 4 tbsp vinegar (your preference)
  • Fresh parsley or chives, to taste

Directions

  1. 1

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the sausage slices and sauté for about 3 minutes until lightly browned on both sides.

  2. 2

Add the onion rings and cook, stirring occasionally, until they soften and turn translucent, about 5 to 7 minutes.

  3. 3

Pour in the vinegar and continue sautéing for 2 more minutes, scraping up any caramelized bits from the bottom of the pan.

  4. 4

Remove from heat, scatter freshly chopped herbs on top and serve immediately with crusty bread.

💡 Chef's Tip

Apple cider vinegar gives a mild, fruity tang while balsamic adds a richer depth. Serve with rustic bread to soak up all those delicious pan juices.
