🛒 Ingredients

1 servings

1
  • 2 smoked sausages (chorizo or kielbasa style)
  • 2 large yellow onions
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 pinch smoked paprika (optional)

Directions

  1. 1

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Slice the sausages into ½-inch rounds.

  2. 2

Add the sausage rounds to the hot pan and sear for 3–4 minutes per side until deeply golden and slightly crispy on the edges.

  3. 3

Slice the onions into thin rings and add them to the pan along with the sausage. Season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  4. 4

Stir everything together and cook over medium-low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft, golden, and slightly caramelized. Serve hot.

💡 Chef's Tip

A splash of apple cider vinegar added in the last minute of cooking brightens the flavors beautifully. Serve over mashed potatoes, crusty bread, or steamed rice.
